Orthopedic massage is a style of massage therapy focused on treating painful conditions that affect the soft tissues of the body.
Orthopedic massage is designed to treat medical conditions and involves releasing tense muscles, stretching and lengthening tight muscles and tendons, and decompressing rigid joints. The goal is to restore full health to the soft tissues of the body, both treating specific conditions as well as improving your overall well-being.
Orthopedic Massage requires a prescription and treatment plan from your medical professional.

CranioSacral massage is a gentle, hands-on bodywork technique focusing on the bones, membranes, and fluid of the CranioSacral system, which include the skull, spine, and cerebrospinal fluid. Client remains fully clothed during this session.

Trigger Point Therapy helps to relieve hyperirritable neuromuscular points on the body that are painful when compressed, and is associated with dysfunctional neurological reflex circuits. Put simply, this is an area that gets so irritated that the body misinterprets the signal, causing the person to feel as if the pain is coming from somewhere else, called referral pain. By pressing on a trigger point area, pain-reducing chemicals are produced in the spinal cord that both relax the muscle tissue and reduce the pain from the referral pattern.
Evaluation of trigger points can be done by palpation and massage, but it is also useful to use resistance tests to assess the muscle & tendon, and range of motion tests to test the joint capsule.
